We understand that having a tooth removed can be a scary and sometimes overwhelming procedure for anybody whether it’s your first time or not. That’s why we believe in doing all we can to make sure you are as comfortable as possible during your visit.
We also understand and firmly believe that an extraction should be the last resort where possible. If we can help you save a tooth, we will. We will take the time to clearly explain and discuss your options, so when you leave you feel you have made the choice that’s right for you.
What are some of my options?
Let’s start from the beginning – maintaining regular check-ups and cleans will help you look after your teeth and gums avoiding the need for a future extraction.
Even if you have significant tooth decay, the tooth may be able to be saved
If a tooth can be restored to function we offer root canal treatment as an alternative to an extraction.
Root canal therapy allows you to retain the health, function and comfort of your mouth and by using the latest in root canal technology your treatment can be done in one, comfortable appointment.

What if the tooth can’t be saved or I just want the tooth out?
Once you understand your options and have decided to have the tooth extracted we are here to make your visit as comfortable as possible. If you are anxious or scared, we offer various alternatives to help you through your treatment.
Orthodontic Extractions
Orthodontic extractions are best avoided by dealing with space issues early in life but sometime it can be necessary when the space needed for having straight teeth is significantly affected by space.
Before removing the tooth we will make sure you understand the procedure and what to expect. We will be there to answer any questions you may have along the way.
